ABOUT
CREDIT-I is a leading non-profit organization headquartered in Mysuru, working across Karnataka since 2007 with a mission to support the educational and economic empowerment of women and youth. The organization is registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882, and has impacted over 1,25,000 individuals across the state. CREDIT-I focuses on educating and engaging women and youth with special needs through capacity building and empowering the emerging generation. The organization also implements diverse development programs, including watershed development, rejuvenation of water bodies, formation of Women SHGs (CBOs) for economically weaker sections, sponsorships for education and health, family, business and career counseling, and shelter for urban homeless, all aimed at the overall betterment of humanity. On 24th August 2023, CREDIT-I launched the “Vanajakshi Varsha Women and Youth Empowerment and Research Centre” and the “Manollasa Counseling Centre” to further its mission. Additionally, with support from Asian Paints Ltd. and IIT-IIT under Namma Jala Bhadrate, the organization successfully rejuvenated 56 tanks in Mysuru District through de-silting initiatives.

Mass Scale Rejuvenation of Water Bodies in Mysuru

<p>We have involved in Rejuvenating Water Bodies of Mysuru in a mass scale with the Support of Asian Paints Limited and IIT for IIT. We have rejuvenated 57 tanks till the date through desilting work with the involvement of farmers. Total water storage capacity of these tanks is increased to 80 crore liter of water. </p>
Distribution of Food Essentials During COVID

The lockdown announced by the Government of India effective 25th March while controlling the growth of Covid19 in the country has created immense distress and suffering for many daily wage workmen. The halt of all economic activities and people being advised to stay at home has led to loss of livelihood for these workmen. This has directly affected on their capacity to provide food for their families. Essentials supply relief campaign was undertaken during the 1st Corona wave and the national lockdown. The campaign ended as the urgency and the scale reduced. Our volunteers, donors, and partners made this happen - our sincere thanks to them all!!
COVID 19 Migrants Rehabilitation Work at Mysore

The team of CREDIT-I has taken the responsibility of running a rehabilitation shelter for migrant workers and homeless people during the lock down period with the support of FEVOURD-K and Dhwani Foundation, Bengaluru. We have implemented many unique activities such as Yoga, Special Lecture on Health, Teaching Dance, Drama, Folk Songs from the theater personalities, Income Generation Activities, Adult Literacy, Sports and Cultural Evening etc. All inmates have earned Rs.2000/- each through making paper covers during their stay at shelter. We have successfully placed 93% of inmates in to their interested jobs along with accommodation facilities. Our shelter has been recognized as one of the "Model Shelter" from the State and District Administartion
